Pretty but neck is too big for small female

I really wanted to love this sweater, but unfortunately the turtleneck is way too big for me as a 130lb female. Not sure if this is just due to it being unisex or if someone had tried it on already and stretched the neck out before it got to me. I was super disappointed, because the rest of the sweater fit very well and I loved the color. But whenever I tried to flip the collar up, there was a huge gap around my neck. From the outside, it made my neck look huge. Ended up having to return.
